Design Questions

Q Bathroom size - My bathroom is pretty cramped. I don’t think much can be done to improve the situation.

A Just because the space is small doesn’t mean that we can’t utilise it to the maximum. These days there are so many clever fixtures and fittings that can make even the smallest of bathroom spaces a very comfortable and usable place to be.

Q I don’t think I need a bath anymore. Just a shower. Does that seem sensible?

A Having a bath is helpful when it comes to selling a house. A lot of buyers will view a house without a bath as a downside (even if they themselves prefer just showers anyway). That being said there are great compromises where you can have shower/baths that can cover both ends.

Q Do I have to follow the existing layout of my current bathroom?

A No. Whether you currently have a raised shower tray or the bath is located in that corner but you would prefer it in that one - it really is all about what you want from your new bathroom instal. Obviously surveys have to be done but even if the joists of your floor run the wrong way, you would be amazed what the Glasgow Bathroom Solutions Team can do.

Q Should I try to keep some of my old bathroom fixtures and fittings? I have a cast iron bath but while I would like something new, are acrylic baths not easy to break/crack?

A There are poor quality bath products on the market but that is one of the reasons you should consider using Glasgow Bathroom Solutions to help you on your new bathroom journey. We have been in this game long enough that we can spot out the poor quality products and help advise you on the right products and the right prices. As for keeping old bathroom fittings like your cast iron bath. If you are attached to the bath then we can design around it. At the end of the day it is all about what you want.

Installation Questions

Q Will I be without a toilet for weeks on end?

A No. If your home only has the one toilet then we will always work around that to ensure that it is available to you overnight.

Q Will we be without hot water for weeks?

A No. We may have to turn it off for short periods of time to complete our work but it will always be done at a time that we have consulted you on so that it does not disrupt your day to day life.

Q Will there be a lot of mess?

A No. We lay dust sheets to ensure that the rest of your home is protected and we always aim to leave the home exactly as it was before we arrived (but with a better bathroom installed).

Q Myself and my partner both work during the day so there is no one at home during the day. Is this a problem?

A No. As long as you are comfortable with it, we can be entrusted with a key to your property so that we can access it while you are out. Our team of highly qualified and trusted bathroom fitters are used to working in exactly this way.
